Welcome to Golden Ridge

Golden Ridge Elementary is a new beginning built on strong roots. In Fall 2026, the communities of Saddle Ranch Elementary and Eldorado Elementary come together as one school, creating a unified learning environment grounded in shared values and a deep commitment to students.

At Golden Ridge, every student is known, supported, and encouraged to grow. We believe strong relationships are the foundation of learning, and our classrooms reflect a balance of academic challenge, creativity, and care. With expanded opportunities in areas like STEM and music, strengthened student support services, and a focus on the whole child, Golden Ridge is designed to meet the needs of every learner.

This is a new chapter, shaped by the strengths of both communities.

A New Chapter for Our Community

About Our Transition

Golden Ridge Elementary was established in December 2025 when the Douglas County School District Board of Education approved the consolidation of Saddle Ranch Elementary and Eldorado Elementary. Beginning in Fall 2026, students and staff will come together at the Eldorado campus in Highlands Ranch to form one unified school community. This transition is designed to preserve what families value most from both schools while expanding opportunities for students.

What families can expect:

  • Consistent, high-quality instruction and student support
  • Expanded specials programming, including STEM and instrumental music
  • Strong special education, ELD, and gifted programming
  • Continued access to academic intervention and mental health resources
  • Integration of Significant Support Needs (SSN) programming while maintaining Affective Needs (AN) programming (K–3)
  • Expanded preschool programming
  • Before- and after-school care (BASE)

We understand that change can bring both questions and emotions. Our commitment is to communicate clearly, support students through the transition, and build a school where every family feels a sense of belonging.
