Strong roots. A shared future.Golden Ridge Elementary opens in Fall 2026 as the result of the consolidation of Saddle Ranch Elementary and Eldorado Elementary. Approved by the Douglas County School District Board of Education in December 2025, Golden Ridge brings together two established school communities into one shared campus in Highlands Ranch.

This transition allows us to:

Strengthen academic and enrichment programming
Sustain full-time specials teachers and expand offerings
Increase access to student support services
Integrate specialized programming, including Significant Support Needs (SSN) and Affective Needs (AN)
Expand preschool programming to better meet community needs

Before- and after-school care (BASE) will continue to be available for families.

Leadership

Golden Ridge Elementary will be led by Principal Allison Hawk, providing consistent leadership and a strong foundation as the new school community comes together.

Future of the Saddle Ranch Elementary Building

Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, the Saddle Ranch Elementary building will become the new home of DCSD’s Child Find and Bridge Programs in Highlands Ranch.

These complementary programs are typically housed together and support early identification and services for students with developmental and educational needs.

Currently, Child Find services operate within Eldorado Elementary, and Bridge operates in leased space. Relocating both programs to the Saddle Ranch building allows for improved coordination, accessibility, and space to support students and families.

This transition ensures the Saddle Ranch building continues to serve an important role in supporting children and families in the community.
